헤리엇 와트대학교 (Heriot-Watt University)는 영국 스코틀랜드 에든버러에 있는 공립 대학교입니다. 이 대학은 1821년에 에든버러 기술학교로 처음 설립되었고 1966년에 대학교 지위를 얻었습니다. 지구 과학, 인프라와 사회 대학, 공학과 물리 과학 대학, 사회 과학 대학, 수학과 컴퓨터과학 대학, 섬유와 디자인 대학, 에든버러 경영대학 등 총 6개의 단과 대학으로 이루어져 있고. 에든버러의 리카턴에 메인 캠퍼스가, 갈라실스에 스코티시보더스캠퍼스, 오크니의 스트롬니스에 석유공학 캠퍼스가 있으며 아랍에미리트와 말레이시아에 국제 캠퍼스를 가지고 있습니다.

QS 순위에서 공학과 기술분야 세계 243위에 올랐으며,
2018년 라운드 대학순위에서 기술과학 분야의 세계 143위에 오르기도 하였습니다. 2017년 비즈니스 인사이더지는 경제학 분야에서 세 번째로 좋은 영국 대학교로 헤리엇
와트 대학교를 꼽았습니다. 2018년 ARWU는 텔레콤공학을
세계 51~75위권에, 토목공학과 수학, 해양학을 101~150위권에 헤리엇 와트 대학교를 올렸습니다.
2019년 The Complete University Guide에서 헤리엇 와트 대학교는 도시와 농촌 계획, 경관
디자인 분야는 영국 4위, 스코틀랜드 1위에 올랐고, 또한 2010년
